Thank you for your interest in the
2008 Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps. The following
information provides registration information for
auditions in one of the premier brass sections in the
activity. The application fee for the 2008 season is
$100.00 ($125 after Oct. 31st), which includes the $50.00 fee required
for the first camp. Using the following

Once your application and fee have
been received, you will be sent specific brass
information and audition requirements (via email PDF).
Membership in the brass section is
open to any potential member ages 14-21*, who meets
audition requirements. (YOU MUST BE 14 BY
SEPTEMBER 1, 2007, AND CANNOT TURN 22 BEFORE JUNE 1,
2008)

Fees
The
membership fee for the 2008 Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle
Corps is $1600.00 and includes music, instruction,
uniforms, instruments, summer travel, tour meals, camp
housing, and insurance. The $100.00/$125.00 application fee,
which includes the first camp fee, does not go towards
membership dues.
In
addition to the above, each member is required to pay a
camp fee of $50.00 per camp. This fee does not go
toward membership dues. Each brass member is
also responsible for providing marching shoes and
mouthpieces while on tour. The brass staff will advise
as to the specific brands the corps will be using in the
upcoming season.
Applicants who are not offered a spot in the 2008 brass
line may continue to participate in future camps at a
cost of $50 per camp. This is encouraged and will give
the prospective member valuable instruction and help
develop his/her talent for the future. Also, Memphis
Sound Drum and Bugle Corps would like to carry at least
two alternates in the brass section in case unexpected
vacancies occur within the brass line.
Fees
can be paid by cash, check, or credit card during
registration at each camp.
